Rapper Traidmarc just released his most eagerly anticipated album SUCCESS (The Best Revenge). Fans of the artist have been raving about the new album, comparing it to 50 Cents ‘Get Rich or Die Trying’ breakthrough album. According to the rapper in an earlier interview with Showbiz, he recounts some of his life experiences stating that “the best way to prove your detractors wrong is by becoming successful”.
Prior to the advent of Covid-19, Traidmarc took a hiatus from the music scene to focus more on his businesses. But with the outbreak of the pandemic, came along some restrictions and lockdowns which unfortunately were inevitable. “I’ve always been a solitary person, the lockdowns really didn’t affect me much. If anything, it provided me the time I needed to get back into music”, said Traidmarc. It is no surprise that the rapper has been able to launch two consecutive albums during a space of two years, dropping a few singles in-between.
SUCCESS (The Best Revenge) showcases 12 solid tracks with punchlines and catchy hooks. It chronicles the edifices of Traidmarc’s remarkable lifestyle and career thus far. Songs like ‘Haute Living’ epitomises the life of a boss and the lures of fame, not to mention the sacrifices that precedes it. It is undoubtably a very classy song with references to the Jewish Kibbutz way of life in Israel. Polarising as it were, Murciélago is more of a dancing tune infused with Afrobeats. It is clear that rapper Traidmarc has curated this album with an acoustic balance in mind. In our humble opinion though, for an indie artist we think Traidmarc is definitely on his way to achieving greatness with his music and this album sets his apart from his counterparts.
